Shut Down the White House

Defend Democracy at the White House

As the votes are counted, it is becoming more and more clear that Joe Biden will win the Electoral College. Has already earned the most votes ever cast for a presidential candidate in our country's history. But the fight to undermine that victory continues, with the administration and its allies gearing up to challenge ballots in key states.

Tomorrow we will send the message straight to the White House that we are here to defend democracy and make sure that every vote counts. A caravan of cars and bikes will circle the White House while demonstrators on foot rally at key entrances, joining together to make as much noise as possible in support of our right to vote. We'll also be hosting a live Zoom that folks can join from home or call into from their phones.

Starting at 7 AM, drivers will meet on Madison Drive NW, in front of the Museum of American History. Bikes will gather at Freedom Plaza. And if you would like to join us on foot, come meet us at BLM Plaza.

Sign up here to let us know how you want to plug in, and we’ll follow up with more logistical details.

On Thursday, November 5, we're putting the White House on notice that we will not tolerate its attempt to subvert democracy and seize power. A combination of cars, bikes, and on-foot demonstrators will jam traffic around and block access to the White House.
